Re: How many Zork fans are also Myst fans?

Myst just never endeared me the way Zork did.  I've always found Zork games to be very rewarding to play, fail, and win.

Myst just bored me for some reason.

I'm sure I'm in the minority though. :)

Re: Zork Fan Movie?

I fully agree; if these games were new they'd be made into a movie very quickly.

We are coming up on the 30th anniversary of Zork in two years...maybe they'll do something.  (ha.) If not a film...perhaps a new game? Or at least re-release the text adventures again.

Re: Zork Fan Movie?

I hadn't even considered Wishbringer.  That *would* be an excellent one to put on the screen.  As far as real companies, I could see DreamWorks pulling it off nicely.

Zork Fan Movie?

Has anyone ever considered doing a fan movie? This is basically just wishful thinking on my part; but wouldn't it be fun to do?   I think that the best story lines for said hypothetical movie would either be the Zork trilogy or the Enchanter saga.   Now, granted in both of those your main character ...

Re: What is Brog?

Titanic is wonderful.  I love the whole "what if" idea of the ending...

Another good game, though 3rd person, is Torin's Passage.  Very, very, bizzare, yet oddly entertaining for a cartoon style game.  The whole "Lands Above" song reminded me of some of the wackier Zork moments.

Re: What is Brog?

I don't know if it counts, but "Titanic: Adventure out of Time" is one my favorites.  I highly recomend it, but there is only one "perfect" ending, and though there are a couple of ways to get to it, it is darned frustrating to find out you've missed one little detail and thus en...

Re: The BEST graphical Zork game ever (?)

I cast my vote for ZGI, because of my warped sense of humor.  :)  I fell in love with it promptly after I figured out what my plastic 6-pack thingy was going to be used for. That and there are so many things going on, so many little jokes that are easy to miss, and my goodness, **Faceman** in there ...

Hi!

Haven't been posting much myself, but I still love Zork and all things Infocom. :)

A Mind Forever Voyaging

Does anyone know where I can find "A Mind Forever Voyaging" to play online?

I've been searching to no avail....like to avoid downloading it if possible, but don't really want to pay 40 - 50 bucks for one of the collections for it either.

Thanks in advance! :)

Re: Score! Sort of...

I had a horrible time getting RTZ to run on my PC when I got it in December...I spent something like 1/2 hour trying to get the blasted game to work.

Sorry for your bad luck though.

Re: Please read me!

Oh, that stinks. I knew that the Les Miserables section always very active, but didn't know how easy/hard it was to get a new section started.

Heh. Maybe a Les Mis/Zork crossover is in order, lol.

Re: Please read me!

Hey, no problem. Hope to see more of your story soon. Have you considered putting it up on fanfiction.net?  You might get a lot more readers.  I'm not sure how active the video game based fic sections are, but I know that the Les Miserables section is pretty active. You could even be the first to st...
