II. Unable to run the installer?- Create the folder c:\ZGI_DVD
- Copy all files from the folder d:\zgi\zgi_e on the disc to c:\ZGI_DVD
- Copy the following folders on the disc to c:\ZGI_DVD
d:\zgi\help_e
d:\zgi\install - Open the file c:\ZGI_DVD\Inquis.ini using notepad and edit the line:
'MPEG=1' and change to 'MPEG=0' - Return to step I. B.
III. For DVD/MPEG2 quality video playback in Windows 95/98/Me/2k/XP (Vista untested).- Download and install either DVDExpress (20.3mb) or SoftDVD (16.4mb)
- Open the file c:\ZGI_DVD\Inquis.ini using notepad and edit the line:
'MPEG=0' and change to 'MPEG=1' - If you are running the game from the hdd, copy the folder d:\zgi\eng_mpeg on the disc to c:\ZGI_DVD
NOTE: After installing DVDExpress you may have trouble running other DVD playback software you have installed. To fix this, simply rename the DVDExpress folder normally located at 'c:\Program Files\Mediamatics' to 'c:\Program Files\Mediamatics-ZGI'. To play ZGI with MPEG2 quality video, simply rename the folder back to the original.
