alive and well... tired

If you must talk about something that isn't about grue slaying, adventuring or even drinking some of that tasty rye, then do it here.

alive and well... tired

Post by DataAngel »

hey sorry everyone, im still here! 8-)

i recently receivd a cpu for free, so it was hard to pass up a PC upgrade. I had more down time than expected to to the remounting of my water cooling kit since the new mb i bought didn't fit exactly the same as my old one.

New Spec:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
OCZ Reaper 2x1gb dual channel
MSI P7N 750i

Soon ill get a PCI-E 2.0 gpu, either an 8800GT  or the 9800GT when it releases.

Is this new upgrade you're talking about for the system on which TZL is hosted?  If so, will we notice anything different?

Yes, this is the same machine that hosts TZL. As for noticing any differences, I don't think you will. But if I am perhaps gaming or doing CPU intensive tasks, then there will still be cpu power for the http functions.

So what was going on with TZL for the last few days?  I couldn't get on the site, and was actually starting to panic just a tiny little bit...  well, not really panic per say...  well, okay - a little panic.  But I am happy to see things up and running again on these nearly silent boards.

Everything is fine, the server that hosts my DNS redirect (read: best friends work) was down temporarily for upgrades and the secondary server did not have the redirect on it.

Glad you missed me! ;D

P.S. Running a 8800GT now. ::)
