Re: Download or play infocom games online
Just to keep Activision happy with us (because I'm almost sure that this place has just slightly more advocates against game downloading than your average emulation site), I'll state this again: It's not legal to download Infocom games unless you own the originals with a few exceptions such as: -The...

Re: The Riddle Game
To keep the flow going I'll just post my next riddle, but tell me if I didn't get it right, Basse, so that we can keep guessing.
Okay, this is an easy one and it doesn't even rhyme, but I just wanna see if it'll stump anyone.
Why is a supermarket like the alphabet?

Re: Petition Update
You've gotta expect that kind of thing, though. A lot of people won't sign petitions for things they don't feel fairly good about, and Zork's following isn't exactly the biggest on the market at the moment, unfortunately.

Re: The Riddle Game
Well, I guess I'm next then. Here's a pretty easy one to get the game going again.
"High face sees low face on his hand.
Low face shows high face his own hands."

Re: Old Activision Message Boards on Zork
That is a good point. One that should be brought to Activision's attention, probably about the same time that we deliver the petition. If we can keep Activision's interest for a longer period of time, it would be better.

Petition Update
Okay everyone, Stephen Granade of http://brasslantern.org agreed to put a mention of the petition on the news section of the brass lantern website (for those of you who don't yet know, brasslantern.org is one of the major hubs of adventure gaming news and things). While he didn't put up a huge feat...

Re: The Riddle Game
Well, technically it is Andy's turn. However, since Andy claimed to not be able to think of any during his previous posting and to keep the game going, let's say that whoever posts next can make up the riddle. That'll be the rule from this point on. Is that alright with everybody?

Re: Has anyone...?
I think that part of the whole transcription problem is the way that computer printers are set up these days. Very few computers are still hooked up to the older type of printer that could gradually print out partial pages instead of needing to print out whole things. At least, I think that's the ...
