Re: New Zork Site
When you say Zork De-Compilation project, is it refering to the original Zork, or the later games? Link, perhaps?

Re: Riddle me this
Nope. Again, look at the last two lines. Describing four different, unrelated things. What are they describing? That will lead you to the answer.

Riddle me this
Yes, remember the Riddle Game topic? Fun times, weren't they? Let's see if we can start it up again (though I doubt it.) I'll ask a riddle, and the person who gets it first posts the next one. Simple. Here we go. A dozen Royals gathered round, Entertained by two who clowned. Each King there had serv...

Re: H2G2
Although I have to disagree, I think Life, the Universe, and Everything was the best. I didn't care too much for the last two books. I also have The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul, but I haven't read it yet, is it any good?

Don't use KDE, major resource hog. Use a lightweight window-manager like fluxbox and do all your work in a terminal. Easy.
So can you get it to work from a terminal?

Re: -NO FILTERS COULD BE FOUND- oh man...
I was being sarcastic, the command-line version is simple. I can't get the GUI to work, and since what I have works and is easy to understand, I don't really care.

Re: -NO FILTERS COULD BE FOUND- oh man...
Mandrake is teh bad.
Anyway, yeah, mplayer can work with almost any type of file, codec doesn't matter. No clue why it would mess up.

Wow...
I got RTZ to work using a DOS emulator called DOSBox. I know a lot of people here have been asking about RTZ...this may be the solution.
http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/
Free and open-source. Runs on Linux and Windows (Mac too, I think.)
Enjoy.

Re: Zork-inspired?
But in Strong Bad's game, doesn't it tell you something to the effect of "Ye can't pick that up, as it is firmly attached to the wall, which is firmly attached to the dungeon, which is firmly attached to everything else." Or something?
