It isn't a bug. It's a puzzle!

Re: Beyond Zork endgame help please?
I could be misremembering, but I think you can go in from the Shady Wall if you open the Rock Wall first. The mirrors won't work from the Shady Wall entrance if the Rock Wall is closed.

Re: Beyond Zork endgame help please?
IIRC you need to start at the rock wall and make a mirror in the first room and turn it south. I also remember that it is very important to dispatch the lucksuckers quickly or the mirrors will pop.

Re: Best Zork Format For Future Games?
Although part of me would LOVE to see a fully realized graphical adventure with artwork on a scale with the game 'Keepsake' and an awesome 'just enough' story along the lines of the Enchanter Trilogy, I'd be happy with any true Zork adventure game in any format. I definitely like the ZZ type graphic...

Re: Dusting Off My Sword
Welcome Ashki! (A little late... I have another board that's eating up a lot of my time lately.) I have an enduring affection for the gloriously patchwork history of Quendor. I really wish that encyclopedia could have come to light. (And the rest of the Magic Wars series.) :( The LoZ game looks inte...

All of the above.
The Anatian empire (What is this? I can't remember that name.) and anything at all about Grueslayer and Entharion are of particular interest.

Re: Using the Maps
Hello and welcome.
I discovered Infocom with the Activision 'collections' releases and they came with all the maps so I used 'em. I really didn't think them to be spoilers or cheats. They were still quite a challenge with the maps.

Rats. I wasn't sure if I had that right... it has been too long since I played RTZ.Hey, Siriusstar. Â You were supposed to say "Who's like us?" so we could complete the official Zorkian toast. And those like us!
So, one more time: Â Here's to us... Â :)
Who's like us? Â

It seems I must have lurked around here back then. I can certainly remember the site going waaaay back.
It is great that this site has managed to stick around so long. Here's to another ten years! (And wishes for a new Zork game in the next ten years.)

Re: I got one!
Congratulations. It is a very cool little prop. 8-) $77 is not a bad price for the Zork Trilogy. It is close to what I paid about ten years ago, IIRC. Most I see on eBay now go for at least $100.

Wonderful! I would love nothing better than to see this happen. Though I would anticipate II & III even more!
Are you making this as a free game? If so I can't see why Activision would bother getting too excited about it.

Re: 'Adventure' birthday party
Those birthday parties sound great. I never had an awesome birthday party like that. *sniff* Â How about hidden spell scrolls? Perhaps one of them might need to go through a 'spell lab' like in Z:GI. Or have them 'buy and sell' magical objects like in Beyond Zork. Zork Zero's Snarfem or the puzzle ...

I discovered the post when it was linked to on the JustAdventure forum last weekend. Things were winding down by then so I thought I was 'late to the party' as usual. lol.
