Trying again...

In the movie it looks like a stylized letter 'G' with a screw through it. On the flag I agree that it looks like a fist and/or a letter 'G' with a screw through it. I kick myself for not noticing it on the flags the first time I looked.

If I were to guess, I'd say it stands for 'G' (fist) 'I' (screw)

I read somewhere that "the banners of Frobozz Electric" were a reference to Steppinthrax Monastery (since the FE building is supposedly the monastery itself).  So last night I visited the monastery in ZN but couldn't find anything that seemed related to this symbol.

I like the "GI" theory, the only problem I have is why they would flip the "G" fist on opposing flags.

The mystery continues.

Heh... good point, why they'd flip it who knows. As for checking ZN, good idea.
