Adventure history and photos

If you must talk about something that isn't about grue slaying, adventuring or even drinking some of that tasty rye, then do it here.

Adventure history and photos

Post by zorket »

Hey all.  It's been a LONG time since I have posted here.  But I found an interesting site while perusing some 'stuff' tonight.  Wondered if anyone had seen this before:

http://www.digitalhumanities.org/dhq/vo ... 00009.html

There is a history of Adventure (the first computer game I ever played - waaaaaay back when!!), complete with photos of the caves on which the game is based.  An interesting read.

Wow!  That's an amazing site.  I always thought this: http://www.rickadams.org/adventure/ was the ultimate Colossal Cave Adventure Page, but the DHQ site has more than I ever dreamed of.  Will take a fair bit of time to absorbe it all.

I hadn't seen that one - loved the 'xyzzy' page - especially the note about the satellite command.
