If you're battling for fame, I bet you've noticed battling people with large amounts of fame can add a considerable amount of fame to you! There is a clan whose member's only purpose is to help others farm fame. If you battle their members, you will be accumulating great amounts of fame! And the best thing is that they have no problem in losing battles, in fact this might be the clan with the most battle loses, since they like to help with fame.
