There are usually a couple on eBay. Another place to try is Amazon.

That's where I got my newest Z:GI. There are quite a few there.

Re: Infocom to Activision inconsistencies.
The description from 'Lost City' sounds a little like my grue plot. I really need to read the novels someday.
I wish I knew how much the novels were based on actual information from the game authors. I've heard the novels had little to do with the games, but nothing verifiable.

Re: "Chuck" Brings Zork to Prime Time
That is awesome! I never watch TV, but I'd definitely make an exception for something Zork related.
That Zork, a 30-year-old ADVENTURE game, is remembered on network television after all this time; and that enough people will be in on the joke to make it worth mentioning, is just seriously cool. 8-)

Re: Infocom to Activision inconsistencies.
Ha! I never tried frotzing a grue. I tend to play rather seriously most of the time. As if my character is really doing these things and needs to survive without the ability to 'restore.' One definitely misses out on some fun that way, though. Â lol. That's actually quite interesting. I agree that w...

Re: Infocom to Activision inconsistencies.
I consider RTZ definitely an Activision game. Infocom was essentially only a label after 1989, when Activision 'moved' the company to California. It's definitely fair game for inconsistency scrutinizing. I simply don't remember the finer points of RTZ well enough to nitpick it myself. Nearly all of...

Re: Zork fanart
I would love to see a big, white colonial house done up Zork I-style. :) I have seen many wonderful Zork I style colonials in similar situations. New England is full of them. Not usually with boarded front doors, unfortunately. I saw a few stock photos of traditional white colonials that might be g...

Infocom to Activision inconsistencies.
Continued from the fanart thread: Quote: Siriusstar: The many ways in which Activision ignored or mangled existing canon is a subject unto itself. Dr. Paul: I'm glad you said that. Â Now we have lots of things to talk about. Â >>> Oh yes, plenty to talk about there. lol. So much that I think it mer...

It Is Pitch Dark: The Zork music video!
You guys have to see this. A real, professionally done Infocom tribute music video. It's even got Steve Meretzky in it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nigRT2KmCE http://frontalot.com/index.php/?page=video Ah, Infocom. The only thing in the world that could compel me to listen to a whole rap song wi...

Re: Zork fanart
I almost wanted to mention that, but I decided I didn't want to get a reputation for being the only Infocom canon nitpicker on board since I do it all the time. Â ;) Perhaps the first DM spelled it to look like a cottage inside to keep adventurers out of the private rooms he/she didn't want them in?...

Re: Zork fanart
The model house looks great so far, but I see progress has been tough on the poor white house. lol. A Quendorian photo album would be great! Several years ago, my mother showed a house (She is a Realtor.) that looked just like the famous white house. It was out in the country on a dirt road, sitting...

Re: Grue Secrets
The portrayal of grues as in Wishbringer or The Undiscovered Underground seem to imply a sort of community existence among grues. Â This is not inconsistent with your vison of grues, but it seems somewhat foreign to it. Â What do you think of the portrayal of grues in TUU? You can look at the grues...

Re: Grue Secrets
This is intriguing. Â What do you mean by that? Â Also, did I miss something, or is Nemesis the only Zork game that doesn't include grues? Â If not, why do you suppose that is? I'm still experimenting with the grues. As I currently have them written, they're a minor form of 'destructive spirit ele...

Re: Grue Secrets
I thought it it was very clever. indeed, as well as a reasonable explanation of the existing canon. It is also quite in keeping with the spirit and humor of the Infocom era games. As I recall it was one if my favorite parts. My explanation of grues is more in keeping with Nemesis, bizarrely enough. ...

Re: Stardust
You're right, Dr. Paul, I loved it! :) Â I saw it with a friend on opening night. I saw the preview in front of the Fantastic Four movie and knew I HAD to see it. There was a ton to love about this movie. It was well-paced, lovely to look at and nicely acted and cast. The story was sweetly romantic,...

Re: Infocom/Zork collections
That lantern keychain is one of my 'grail items. ' I have never even seen one show up on eBay. The InfoComics show up on eBay pretty regularly. I got my last two shrinkwrapped copies pretty cheaply not too long ago. There might even be a couple on there now. I bet a lot of the original games could h...
